Brad is a 25-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, possessing broad investment experience across all product lines in both operator and allocator platforms.  Brad recently joined Republic to focus on local investments.

Prior to Republic, Brad was Chief Operating Officer with Philadelphia based Stoltz Real Estate Partners, a diverse owner-operator platform with approximately ten million square feet under management.  While at Stoltz, Brad handled retail, office, industrial and multi-family acquisitions and asset management for the firm’s three equity funds and family investment portfolio.  Employing a broad array of leadership and management skills, Brad routinely handled acquisitions and dispositions, contract negotiations, entitlement work, key leasing initiatives, debt workouts and asset restructurings and asset financing.   As COO and member of the investment committee, Brad handled many components of the firm’s commingled domestic fund investment platform including marketing, investor reporting, asset and portfolio analysis, newsletter production, fundraising support, and annual meeting presentations.

At Bethesda, MD based Seaton Benkowski & Partners he focused on local Washington, DC metro assets and a year-long extrication of a key investor from a large, branded hotel/golf/marina/gaming and condominium resort development located in the Bahamas.

Brad spent fourteen years with the J.E. Robert Companies, serving as both an acquisitions and asset management officer in JER’s first three equity funds.  In these capacities, he directly sourced, underwrote and/or managed billions of dollars in office, retail, multi-family and land investments, in both debt and equity structures, located throughout the US.  During his time at JER, Brad gained deep experience in all stages of the property investment cycle from start to finish including entitlements and ground-up development in both Washington, DC and California.   Brad further served as an active participant and voting member of JER’s Special Servicing Committee handling CMBS loan reviews and workouts.  Prior to this, Brad was an integral part of JER’s business of acquiring and managing diverse portfolios of non-performing loans and foreclosed real estate from banks/institutions and government entities including working overseas on international investments in JER’s Paris, France office.

Brad began his career as a financial analyst at Washington, DC based regional brokerage firm Barnes, Morris & Pardoe, Inc. (precursor to the local CBRE office) analyst serving the leasing, investment sales and capital markets groups.

Brad graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, and did graduate work at the George Washington University.  He participates in professional and community based organizations including BSA, and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and has served on boards including the National Health Museum.  Separately, he provides real estate consulting services to private parties and non-profits that have included the Council of Foreign Relations, Virginia Theological Seminary and others.
